Automated Catalog Production for Trading Companies

Trading companies (e.g. technical equipment wholesalers) face the challenge of having to update their product catalogs at regular intervals or produce catalogs for a special group of customers, which is a very expensive, time-consuming task.

Not only that, catalogs have to be made available on various output media:

• Web catalogs
• Product CDs
• Print Catalogs
• Electronic catalog data interchange, e.g. for customers, marketplaces

OpenCl@ss is an excellent solution as a central database in the form of a Product Information Management (PIM) system for coping with these various challenges. Product data is managed in a central location and is then made available in the system for further processing (see above).
