Importing Catalog Data

Data from third party systems (product groups with articles and their attributes) are imported into the "staging area". This is a separate area in the OpenCl@ss system.

The system imports entire catalogs, excerpts from catalogs, individual product groups, and much more as required

The coordinator views and checks the data. This prevents data that has not been checked and is therefore invalid from appearing in the real system, which could otherwise lead to problems in subsequent processes. The data is then assigned to a classification in the OpenCl@ss Classification Editor, and is finally ready for importing into the real system.

There are extensive program functions to help users import data.
