Administration of Product Data

Product data is administered in the OC Content Editor; this is where it is possible to search for a specific screw, for example. However, the prerequisite is that a classification for the corresponding product must have already been created in the OC Classification Editor.

Once the descriptive attributes of a product have been recorded, they are not normally changed afterwards, in contrast to the so-called standard fields of a product such as status and price. These standard fields are updated in the system regularly, e.g. via an interface with the merchandise management system.
